Here is a picture of the ship we will be on for the next 68 days as we travel around South America. It is funny, but with all of our holiday events and New Year’s Eve last night, today is the first time I have actually felt excited for this trip. The trigger was when Ron checked us in for our flight to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, tomorrow morning and we both got TSA-PRE! Score! We still have about a hundred details to deal with today including final packing, cleaning out the refrigerator, sending off files so people can take care of newsletters and events while we travel, etc. Whew.

We have been told over and over again that the Princendam is a wonderful ship. It is a little smaller than the Amsterdam we cruised on last year (a good thing) and a very pretty or classy type of ship. I’ll report more when I’ve seen it for myself. We actually board the ship on Wednesday, Jan 3.
